A group of children from Foundation are visiting Alexandra House Care Home every week to spend time with the residents, playing, baking ,talking and laughing together.
What a valuable and amazing partnership of young and old.
This week work has started in school creating an inclusion zone. A base for the inclusion team to spend time helping our children. Miss Baxter our deputy head, returns to school at Easter as our Special Needs Leader with her team – Miss Tilbury who leads on behaviour and physical, social and emotional health – Mrs Stringer who helps children finding it hard to get into school to integrate into classes – Our wonderful support staff, trained in play therapy etc.,
The inclusion zone will have a sensory room, supportive equipment and resources and it’s own outdoor space.
Thankyou to the staff team for relocating our guided reading library during the half term. Mrs Charlseworth led on this with Mr Fowkes, Mrs Martin and Mr Tuck helping out on Monday.
Watch this space for photos of our new zone!
